The legal department provides specialist maritime law case handling in all jurisdictions from our head office in Karachi, with unique knowledge and experience of proceedings jurisdictions.

Our offices are staffed with the regionally qualified legal personnel. Our experience of maritime law, international trade law, ship arrest, environmental damage regulation and response, tonnage limitation and limitation actions, bill of lading and charterparty disputes, maritime arbitration, and criminal proceedings against ship masters and officers, is unique in the region. We have an unparalleled knowledge of the practices and procedures of the local courts, with in-house and agency resources throughout the region.

The claims teams have a wide diversity and depth of skills. As with Club’s, building strong working relationships and fully understanding their Members’ business is a vital component of the effectiveness of the Global Logistics Services claims handling services.
Major casualties are handled by a dedicated emergency response team and, advisory services in relation to claims, and claims prevention are key components of the GLS claims services.

Our Surveyors and claims handlers provide wide ranging help and advice to Club’s and their good Members in preventing claims and on practical, legal and contractual measures which may reduce or limit exposure should an incident occur.
